Abstract
The new architecture of security and cooperation has been forming in the Asia-Pacific region. As an active and creative participant in this process, Russia has achieved substantial progress in relationship with many Asian-Pacific countries, has made a significant contribution to the SCO, APEC and other multilateral regional associations. Due to increased attention paid by the Government of the Russian Federation to economic cooperation, Asian-Pacific countries have begun to view Russia as a serious factor of sustainable economic development. There is much work ahead aimed at developing a partnership with all APR States in order to use a favorable external environment for the benefit of accelerated modernization and socio-economic development of Siberia and the Far East.
