Abstract
This article is focused on the conditions of internet industry in Latin and Carribean America (LCA) in general and in its leading countries: Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and Chile. Especial attention is paid to development of two key Internet industry components – access provider’s market and e-commerce. In general, level of internet industry development in the region remains rather low. However, comparing with other developing regions LCA looks quite attractive for broadband wireless access providers. The article also provides the analyses of the factors of development and major trends of access providers market and e-commerce, the examples of certain aspects of leading countries government programs intended for market support and development.
