Abstract
The article presents all the significant works and comments about pre-revolutionary Russia from Spanish-American politics  and cultural figures - such as F.Miranda, J.Marti, E.Gomez Carrillo, R.Dario, A.Kastineyras. From the analyze of these comments follows that Russian Literature as well as Russian philosophy of culture were the main original sources for the creation of the image of Russia in Spanish America.  That’s why the myths and constants that are entrenched in Russian culture formed a framework of this image in Spanish America.
