Abstract

The work is devoted to the analysis of the terms "legal reform" and "reform" in terms of the subject matter of legal science. The author concludes that the content of the concept in a broad sense cannot be accepted. It is proposed to consider the concept of “legal reform” as a change in the legal system. From this point of view, legal reform is characterized as a meta-level concept in relation to “reform”. The concept of “reform” is revealed as a change in social relations. The ways, methods, goals of the reform as a doctrinal concept are analyzed.
