Abstract

In this paper science is regarded as complex system, composed by ideal objects viewed as complex ideal system of scientific meanings. We accept the standpoint, that ideal objects of biology could model reality of living nature. It has been substantiated that scientific ideal objects, as well as entire picture of the world are metaphorically laden. The concepts of an ideal object and a picture of the world as special metaphors of single scientist’s and scientific community’s self-determination have been contemplated in the framework of existential philosophy. Artistic (poetical) image has also been analyzed. It has clearly been shown, that it has many typological features in common with scientific ideal objects. We took biology as natural science and poetics a as the examples of artistic creativity. It is well-known, that biology deals with complex objects: vivid substance’s study requires special methodology. Due to its complexity, biology stands apart from other natural sciences. Biologists create special models of biological processes, in vitro or by means of the PS’s programs. We appeal to David Bloor’s , Edinburg cognitive sociologist, monograph “Knowledge and Social Imagery” in order to make clear, that ideal scientific objects have some features in common with social image. To demonstrate resemblance of scientific ideal objects with artistic images we use the image of bird cherry tree in B. Akhmadulina’s poetry. We are trying to show, that this image is similar to scientific ideal object.
