Abstract

In the paper the long-term consequences of forthcoming technological revolution, which will establish the new industrial society of second generation, are considered. For this society the growing knowledge-intensity of production, significant decrease of the share of material costs in the product, the displacement of man from immediate process of production and significant increase of possibilities to satisfy the human needs will are inherited. In the same time the technological changes are resulting in the threat of crisis of civilization – the pursuit for simulative goods, unallowable level of burden on environment, uncontrolled tendencies in the evolution of technosphere, the possibility of unjustified interference into the human nature etc. These threats put the question of transition from zoological desire to absorb much more material resources to rational self-constraint of both human needs and ways of implementation of new technologies. Thereby the concept of noosphere by Vernadsky is highlighted in a new way – as an imperative of reasonable regulation of economic activity, based on the inner cultural criteria.
