Abstract

Authors illustrate by what means the pedagogical tasks of philosophy and their attitude to such systems of spiritual and moral formation of personality as religion and morality get determined under modern conditions. Philosophy must get rid of claims on the meaning of certain valuable and normative system of upbringing. It must not preach the virtue, but indicate any person to such a start in himself, which will allow him to take the path of spiritual and moral transformation. In this, the specificity of spiritual situation of a person in the contemporary world consists in that civilization and historical prerequisites of ontological, valuable-meaningful, psychological naturalness of confessional-religious way of thinking were irreversibly lost. Modern individual is set in front of the necessity to develop on their own the particular individualized multidimensionality in the conditions of traditional type of worldview identity crisis.

The principal limitation of religion is not in containing the proclaimed values, but rather in the form of religious dogma removing the task of developing on their own the worldview references. The faith, in an equal degree of secular and religious, must be a private affair of each person. Its content cannot be generalized in the form of mandatory requirement and institutionalized as a national ideology. Namely the legal form of organization of social and civic life on the basis of discursive consensus is the practical approval of humanity.
